After a successful kick-off Durham University, UPC Barcelona, and Lumi Space are developing and deploying turbulence monitoring and forecast equipment for ESA. This equipment will be capable of measuring the optical turbulence free space optical communications at different ground stations continuously 24/7.
The TURBO instrument will be developed by the centre for advanced instrumentation at Durham University and deployed at UPC Barcelona.
