Turbulence Monitoring and Forecast Equipment – TURBO
Measurements of atmospheric optical turbulence is critical to support site selection, Optical Ground Station (OGS) design, performance estimation and validation, and operation. Through TURBO an upgraded Shack-Hartmann Image Motion Monitor (SHIMM) (Perera, Saavidra (2018), Doctoral Thesis, Durham University) will measure atmospheric optical turbulence parameters continuously 24 hours a day.
